1988, England – Andrew Nicholas Oliver and Philip Edward Oliver, also called “The Oliver Twins”, in their house room / office dealing with the programming of Treasure Island Dizzy, later published by Codemasters. Originally the game was developed on ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC.
The series takes its name from the main character, a smiling egg with arms and legs capable of jumping between the game platforms. Each adventure of Dizzy consists of large explorable areas divided into fixed screens, in which you have to collect objects or solve small puzzles. Between 1987 and 1992, Dizzy was one of the most popular video game characters in England, with over a dozen titles made.
